Winners are determined and honored at the HCAM Annual Meeting and Conference each September. The 2010 Annual Meeting and Conference will be held Sept. 15-17, 2010 at the Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center, Alexandria, Minnesota.

Nominations for Heart of Minnesota awards are now being accepted (due June 30, 2010). See call for entries letter: [PDF]; nomination criteria and forms for administrator: [PDF], volunteer director [PDF] and volunteer of the year [PDF].

This award was developed to recognize supportive, enthusiastic leadership, and for someone who works to provide volunteer services to enhance the lives of patients and residents.

Volunteer of the Year Award

In 2009, HCAM established an award to honor a Volunteer of the Year. This award honors a volunteer who demonstrates a cooperative, supportive, enthusiastic and well-defined relationship with his/her auxiliary/volunteer group, who goes “above and beyond” to enhance the lives of the patients and residents.
