Heart of Minnesota Award Winners
The Heart of Minnesota Award honors a volunteer director and a facility
administrator who demonstrate a “cooperative, supportive, enthusiastic
and well-defined relationship with his/her auxiliary, provides auxilian
leadership and goes above and beyond to enhance the lives of the patients
and residents in the hospitals and homes they serve.”The 2008 Heart of Minnesota Award for Health Care
Administrators was presented to Susan McClernon for her work while
chief operating officer/administrator of St. Mary's Medical Center of
Duluth. The award for volunteer directors was presented to
Kylene Lehmann of RiverView Health, Crookston. The
awards were presented in September at the HCAM Annual Meeting and
Conference.
The Heart of Minnesota Awards are presented at HCAM’s
annual meeting in Brainerd each September, a three-day event that features educational,
motivational and humorous speakers as well as sharing sessions and
district meetings. The 2008 Annual Meeting will be held Sept. 11-19 at
Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, Minn.
